Itinerary
- 07:30: Depart from Bac Ha town center by car (or motorbike).
- 08:30: Arrive at the turn to Nam Khanh commune. Start trekking along trails, passing through cinnamon forests and beautiful terraced rice fields.
- 10:00: Stop to visit a Dao Tuyen ethnic family.
- 12:30: Reach Village Team 3, Ban Lien commune. Enjoy lunch at a Tay ethnic family’s home with local specialties unique to Ban Lien.
- 14:00: Join a local family in tea picking and learn about the history of the tea hills. A special highlight is that Tay women here still wear traditional costumes even during daily work.
- 15:00: Continue trekking to Village Team 4, Ban Lien commune. Walk through palm forests and tea hills along the stream, capturing stunning sunset photos. In June, visitors can immerse themselves in the brilliant red foliage of forest soapberry trees in Ban Lien.
- 15:15: Visit a local family to experience traditional Tay crafts such as conical hat making or pounding “bánh dày” (sticky rice cakes).
- 16:30: Depart from Village Team 4 by car (or motorbike) back to Bac Ha.
- 17:30: Arrive in Bac Ha.
